Kraken was at the Spiel Messe Essen 2008, the world's largest game fair. It took place in Essen, Germany, from the 23rd to the 26th of October.
With more than 150 000 visitors, 758 exhibitors on an overall area of 44 100 square meters, we are very proud to have participated to this event.
It was also very important for us, since we really work on Alkemy to make it an international game.
A team of demonstrators came to help us from all over Germany to perform the demonstrations and explain the game.
We want to use this report to really thank them for their enthusiasm, their help and their motivation:

Here are some additional pictures of the booth, the Kraken Team (Allan, Jérémie, Jörn, Valérie and Viktor) and some passing guest stars (Victoria Lamb and Ben Komets).
Many events were planned on our booth, including a speed painting contest between internationally renowned painters, who all 6 totalized 7 slayer swords:
The participants had exactly 60 minutes, some brushes and paints to paint an Auroch Totem Warrior of the wave 5.
After some deliberations, Benedikt and Lukas Wiggering, as well as Michael « Zaphod » Bartels, who were named Judges for the event, attributed the first three places to the winners: Jérémie Bonamant Teboul, then Victoria Lamb and finally Ben Komets:
Among the many animations on our booth, there was also a painting course given by Ben Komets.
The visitors couls also observe Allan and Jérémie performing painting and sculpting of Alkemy miniatures. As guest stars, Victoria Lamb and Ben Komets also performed some painting demonstrations.
Another animation was the periodical games of "Catch the Chonkey": A fast paced 4 player game. The winners of these games won special edition miniatures.
And, of course, the visitors could see the Alkemy studio displays and miniatures, with miniatures up to the wave 6. Also the miniatures from the Degra, Wyrd, and Artefactory were also available.
On the last picture, you can see a Ghulam coming straight from hordes prime.
We have the pleasure to announce the results of the lotery that we organized for this event: The winner is Peter "Sentyr" Hinrichs, and he won an exclusive miniature: a tha'pioca painted by Allan Carrasco !
