Results of the « Autumn Painting Challenge » Contest
Here are the results of the painting contest that happened during the end of 2009.
The winner of this first edition is Alexis « Metalman » Caltot with his wonderfull Cobra guard shadow !
Next month a new Alkemy painting contest will be organized.

There are some new goodies in the Gallon shop !
We promised it, here are some news in the Galleon shop:

As we previously announced, all the Genesis profiles are now available in Architekt.
You will hence be able to test these profiles, to start thinking about new army compositions.
Please do not forget that these profiles are still currently being playtested in order to provide you with a still more balanced game.

In the early days of this year 2010, it is time for the Kraken to give you some information about the program of the upcoming 6 months.
We have planned a lot of things.

February:
In order to allow you to expand your gaming experience, all the Genesis profiles will be available in Architekt.
We will also add new goodies to the Galleon shop, including resin casts of some Alkemy Miniatures! These models will change and only be available for a given time, so pay close attention to these offers!

March:
It is our birthday month! Alkemy will be celebrating its second anniversary and for this occasion we have a few things planned.
First of all we will propose some anniversary limited edition packs. These faction themed packs will contain 5 resin miniatures, and also a resin cast miniature of the upcoming wave 6!
These packs will only be available from march to april!

For our North American friends, the operation "Road to Gencon 2010" will be launched at the same date. More information to come.

May:
The month of May will see the first size 3 miniature for Alkemy ! The Avalonians will be able to display on their gaming tables the Avalonian Colossus!
This miniature will be resin cast and will undoubtedly become a key figure for both players and painters.

June:
At the end of June, the Khalimans will be able to recruit the Mahritin Djinn !

July :
The wave 6 will be available during the month of July. Kraken will not be pursuing the idea of double boxes (boxes that contain miniatures of 2 different factions). In addition, the boxes will contain all the gaming material in German also!

This wave will contain the following miniatures:

• Khalimans : The belluarus and 3 Khergars
• Aurloks: Ca'apiti et 2 Hive throwers
• Jade Triad: the second alchemist of the long breath and 2 iron heart sentinels
• Avalon : Caelina et 3 Bushwhackers

The next wave is planned for the Gencon 2010 ...

We will also keep you posted about the setup of the new Alkemy site and the upcoming release of e-Genesis.

You were a lot this year to play in tournaments or to participate in painting contests and thus patiently earned Doubloons, the Galleon currency that allows you to get special Goodies.

There is even more!
A couple of weeks ago, the Community Website called “www.tabletoptournaments.net” opened a whole new section dedicated to organized play in the USA. If you are an American player, you are now able to announce and set your tournaments for any game you are playing.
For 5 years now T3 (Table Top Tournament) has been allowing gamers to announce their tournaments, upload results and also keep track of them in a national and international ranking per game.
But T3 is also the Official Tool used by Kraken Editions for the international ranking for Alkemy. It means that as soon as your tournament is announced on it and the results are uploaded, it will automatically be added to the ranking.

Once your tournament is official, it means that your players will earn Doubloons by participating in it and depending on their final result. They will now be able to get goodies from the Galleon Store.

To celebrate to new US T3, Kraken will double the Doubloons earned during Official Alkemy Tournaments until February 28th!! Therefore each player will get at least 20 Doubloons instead of 10 just by participating in an official tournament!

Recent Events

Like last year, we will be attending the Spiel Messe in Essen (Germany), in partnership with Fantasy In, our distribution partner for all german speaking countries.

There will be many events around this fair, including painting demonstrations, demonstrations and initiations to the game, and also special offers !

Do not hesitate to pop by on our booth, hall 6, booth 173 ! Many of the Kraken Team will be there, as well as the responsible for Galleon Germany, and the official german translator of all Alkemy related rules and background !

We have the pleasure to announce that wave 5 will (finally) be available in the very short future !
The wave 5 will hit the stores on the 19th of september.
You have to possibility to preorder it from the Kraken store. In this case your order will be shipped as soon as we receive the boxes.
Also, our partnership with Wyrd Miniatures is strenghtening, which makes us now official distributor of the Malifaux Game, the diceless skirmish game of Wyrd. You can find all the Wyrd and Malifaux related products in the Kraken Store.

Altough these tokens have been available for some times at your favorite shops, they are now available not only on the Kraken online store, but also on the Galleon store, which means another good way to spend your doubloons !
Alltogether, there are 5 different token sets: A generic one, while the four others are dedicated to each faction.

A new scenario, the Alchemical Machines, is now available on our website.
This scenario will be used during the finals of the Mornea Chronicles, at Stratepolis.
The tournament rules are the following:
201 points, painted armies.
The scenarios that will be played are:
- The Alchemical Machines
- The Informants
- The Market of the Horn
- the Chests
The tournament will start on sunday the 31st at 09:00.
