The gloomy and sinister settings of the Kingdom of Avalon did not require many concept studies. The studies were fairly easy once a meticulous and thorough scope was written down to define the degenerate spirit of this country and its corrupt origins.

We tried to stay true to a medieval concept, while enriching it sufficiently to make the wicked influence of the Beathacrann a real eye-catcher.

The Avalonian universe is full of unlikely color combinations, textures, dirt and weathering effects and strong contrasts to reinforce their dismal appearance.
